Introduction

We are sharing our Annual Benefit Report for fiscal year 2025. Easy Surf's fiscal year follows the calendar year, so FY2025 covers January 1 to December 31, 2025. The report looks at how we advanced our public benefits as a disability-led business.

During FY2025, we delivered more than 1,750 paid accessibility hours for more than 30 customer organizations in five countries. This report shares what we achieved, where we were limited, and how we assessed our social and environmental performance.

Our purpose

We founded Easy Surf with clear community-driven goals in mind:

  • Enable people with disabilities to have equal access to digital information, entertainment, and purchasing by helping organizations identify and remove digital accessibility barriers.
  • Maintain a workforce primarily composed of people with disabilities.
  • Provide compensation significantly above industry-standard consulting rates.

These commitments continue to shape our client work, employment practices, and community activities.

Achievements in FY2025

Throughout FY2025, our team helped organizations identify and remove digital barriers across websites, online platforms, documents, and games. Our work included accessibility audits, implementation guidance, training, consulting, and usability testing with people with disabilities.

Global accessibility reach

Our first report, covering FY2024, recorded more than 20 organizations, five countries, and more than 1,750 paid accessibility hours. FY2025 used the same three measures, and we continued to work across five countries.

Accessibility services

Our web and document accessibility work supported public sector organizations, nonprofits, and companies. We produced practical, plain-language deliverables so teams could understand the barriers and act on our guidance.

Gaming accessibility

We provided gaming accessibility testing and consulting, including desktop and mobile playtests led by paid experts with motor, low-vision, cognitive, and complex disability perspectives.

Community, education, and partnerships

We shared free public education and practical resources, including an accessible documents webinar. In May 2025, Safe In Our World published the Workplace Accessibility Toolkit (PDF) We also continued working with accessibility and design partners.

Disability-led employment

People with disabilities continued to lead our workplace. In FY2025, four of our six employees self-identified as having a disability, including both senior leaders. Our FY2024 report covered eight BC employees, seven of whom self-identified. The two years use different employee bases and our team also became smaller, so the percentages are not directly comparable.

We continued participating in Accessible Employers' Pledge to Measure and maintained remote, flexible work with accommodations built in by default.

We continued to build responsibility and sustainability into our day-to-day work. We produced accessible, plain-language deliverables, paid every expert with a disability who took part in our testing, and supported remote and flexible work. As a digital services company, we have no manufacturing and kept travel to a minimum. We do not operate a formal environmental management system, and our B Impact Assessment score for environment was 0.0.

Challenges

Like many small businesses, we worked within financial and capacity limits. The company returned a small profit in FY2025, which was fully offset for tax purposes by a loss carried forward from the previous year. We limited spending on unpaid community work and internal accessibility tools. Limited capacity on a small team, and a project paused at a client's request, pushed some planned activities past year-end.

Our B Impact Assessment results

The results are self-reported. Like last year, we used the B Impact Assessment, an independent third-party standard, to review our social and environmental performance. We completed B Impact Assessment v1.6 on August 2, 2026, answered every question, and used FY2025 data where annual information was requested.

Our overall score rose from 49.9 to 76.7. Governance increased from 10.5 to 15.1, workers from 14.8 to 27.4, and customers from 4.3 to 21.1. Community decreased from 18.2 to 13.0, and environment decreased from 1.9 to 0.0. Category scores may not sum exactly to the overall score because the displayed values are rounded. This comparison is directional because our company and assessment responses changed.

The results do not mean that Easy Surf is B Corp certified, eligible for certification, or endorsed by B Lab.
