Summary
Québec capital subsidy helping centres de la petite enfance complete smaller infrastructure projects whose net financing needs are under $50,000 including half the applicable taxes. That figure is an eligibility threshold and not an award ceiling: the ministry publishes no grant maximum. Accessibility is one of several named eligible purposes rather than the whole programme: the funder's eligible-project list includes improving the accessibility of the premises for children with disabilities, alongside work required by a law or regulation, building or rebuilding an outdoor play area, and lead-in-water compliance. Other eligible work maintains or improves infrastructure, extends its life, increases capacity, preserves the building, or protects children's health and safety. Accessibility work is eligible within a call for projects, and the current call has closed, with the list of retained projects published. The ministry may launch a call each year. Some projects may be eligible outside a call, namely urgent unforeseen repairs, place creation, and temporary premises for an authorized place-creation project.
Eligibility
Centres de la petite enfance (CPE) in Québec. Net financing needs must be under $50,000 including 50 per cent of applicable taxes; larger projects fall under the Programme de financement des infrastructures.
