Summary
Supports community groups leading nature activities in BC Parks. Eligible costs include transport, staff, gear, food, program materials, honoraria and accessibility supports. This broader underserved-community program includes disability access: the funder describes Spark support for an Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre outing, while attributing interpreter funding separately to BC Parks. The live Fluxx portal says the intake is closed and the next intake opens in spring 2027; no exact dates are announced.
Eligibility
Community-serving groups classified as qualified donees, First Nations, non-profits or other formally recognized organizations, engaging underserved communities in BC Parks. Projects must connect people to nature and focus on inclusion, accessibility, safety and confidence outdoors. Projects must take place within BC Provincial Parks and collect hours spent outdoors, nature observations, or both. Spark does not generally fund governments, businesses or unregistered volunteer groups or entities. Registration approval is required before access to the application portal.
