Summary
One-time grants program created in honour of the 40th Anniversary of Rick Hansen's Man In Motion World Tour. Funds physical accessibility projects including accessible play spaces, parking and exterior access, interior accessibility, elevators and lifts, accessible washrooms and showers, accessible kitchens and eating spaces, emergency response and safety improvements, and parks/trails/marine access. Recipients will be announced during National AccessAbility Week (May 31 to June 6, 2026); projects must be completed by January 31, 2027 with final reports due June 11, 2027. Recurrence not confirmed by RHF.
Eligibility
Canada-based registered charities, qualified donees, or incorporated non-profit organizations. Recipients must host a Community Engagement Event by June 4, 2027 and install an RHF accessibility plaque.
