Summary
Provides rebates to BC taxi companies for acquiring or converting wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Conversion rebate covers up to 50% of eligible costs to a maximum of $9,000; acquisition rebate covers up to 20% of fair market value purchase price to a maximum of $11,000; combined acquisition and conversion total not to exceed $20,000. Open on an ongoing basis as long as program funding remains.
Eligibility
Companies registered to do business in BC that hold a valid Passenger Transportation Licence with Special Authorization Passenger Directed Vehicle and operate wheelchair-accessible taxis. Individuals (PT License holders) can only access the separate Maintenance and Operation Rebate.
