Summary
Provincial funding for municipal, intermunicipal and Indigenous bodies that organize adapted transport for persons with disabilities in Quebec. Formerly the Programme de subvention au transport adapte. Base contribution covers 65 per cent of eligible expenses, set by per-trip recognized cost maximums by density tier. Supplementary allocations are available for out-of-territory trips, interconnection initiatives, and learning to use regular transit. The programme is not rolling: each stream has its own published deadline in the official management calendar, and the Volet 1 and Volet 2 2026 intakes are both closed. The programme ends December 31, 2027. Recognized cost maximums for 2025 are $32 a trip rural (under 90 inhabitants per km2), $29 urban or periurban not served by a transit authority, $27 for exo and transit corporations other than the STM, and $25 for the STM; increases of $1 a year for 2026 and 2027 depend on available appropriations. Supplements: 65 per cent of the extra cost of out-of-territory trips (maximums of $43, $40, $38 and $36 by the same tiers); a non-recurring $0.05 per average kilometre above 15 km per trip, up to 49 km, for bodies operating in rural areas or urban or periurban areas not served by a transit authority or the ARTM; 75 per cent of interconnection initiative costs to $100,000 per project; and 65 per cent of learning-initiative costs to $650 per person trained.
Eligibility
The Autorite regionale de transport metropolitain (ARTM); public transit corporations (STC); local municipalities, regional county municipalities (MRC) and intermunicipal transit boards (regies intermunicipales de transport); and Indigenous communities represented by their band council.
