Summary

Funds barrier-free entrances, circulation and customer washrooms in commercial buildings, including doors, ramps, lifts, counters, seating, signage and related professional fees. Required permits and an RBQ-licensed contractor apply; work must meet the Code and CSA B651 and finish within 18 months of eligibility notice. Payment is one instalment after completion. Eligibility

Owners and tenants of buildings, or parts of buildings, used for commercial activities in the agglomeration of Montréal; tenants must provide the lease and the owner's consent to the work. The work must make access to the building conform to the barrier-free design requirements of the Code, and is eligible only where no access to the building from a public road, other than a lane, is already compliant. Work started before the application is declared eligible is not funded.
