Summary

Removes financial barriers to participating in or operating para-alpine programming for Canadians with disabilities. Try-It events receive up to $2,500, athlete integration up to $5,000, athlete bursaries up to $2,500, and para coach development $5,000 to $10,000. The 2026-27 application closes December 31, 2026, with review upon submission and funding potentially committed earlier; no closing time or time zone is published. The program page says applications are submitted through eligible provincial or territorial ski organizations and asks for the completed universal application and supporting documents by email to mnewton@alpinecanada.org, so confirm the route with your provincial or territorial alpine organization or Alpine Canada before submitting.

Eligibility

Alpine clubs, adaptive snow-sport organizations, provincial or territorial sport organizations, provincial disability sport organizations and collaborative applicants, subject to stream requirements; the program page says applications are submitted through eligible provincial or territorial ski organizations. Athlete bursary applications are coordinated through an eligible organization for an athlete who has participated in a recognized Try-It activity, and the coach role is appointed by a provincial or territorial sport organization.
