Summary
Funds sport programming for Saskatchewan's deaf and hard of hearing community, whether integrated or specific to that community, so that athletes, coaches and officials who are deaf or hard of hearing can take part at their desired level of development. Eligible costs are explicitly accessibility costs: sign language interpreter services, assistive technology equipment, facility rental, insurance, marketing and promotions, communications, coaching, officiating, on-continent travel, and education on engaging deaf and hard of hearing athletes, coaches and officials. Capital expenditures are ineligible, as are food, cash prizes and off-continent travel. Retroactive funding is not permitted, so applications must be approved before the program or activity starts. Two intakes a year. Assessed by the Adaptive Sport Advisory Committee, which also administers the Sask Sport Adaptive Sport Grants. Provincial Sport Organizations on the Minister's Eligibility List of the Sask Lotteries Trust Fund apply directly.
