Summary

Community engagement projects creating lasting accessibility change for people in BC living with disability. Funds projects in accessible employment, emergency planning and response, arts/culture/tourism, sports and recreation, education and learning, and community participation. EXCLUDES large capital costs such as building/outdoor-space accessibility improvements (these are explicitly not eligible per the program page). Disability-led BC funder. Program has run since 2018; monitor for next cycle on funder page.

Eligibility

BC-based not-for-profit organizations, or national/international organizations with a base of operations in BC and capacity to deliver services in BC. Must operate primarily for community benefit with services open to the public and a democratically elected volunteer Board. Governmental bodies (municipalities, First Nations bands, public-sector organizations) are NOT eligible. Successful applicants can reapply 5 years after their application.
