Summary
Municipal supplement, not a standalone grant: covers the access costs that D/deaf and disabled artists, cultural workers, and audiences face in reaching Conseil des arts de Montreal programs. Three streams: support to prepare a grant application, access costs for a CAM-funded project, and access costs for presenters welcoming D/deaf and disabled audiences. Applications go through the ORORA portal and must be submitted in French, with limited exceptions. This is the municipal equivalent of the Canada Council Access Support, BC Arts Council Access Support, and Toronto Arts Council Accessibility Grant supplementary funds already in this database. The Conseil invested $118,902 through this fund in 2025. Contact: ligia.borges@montreal.ca.
Eligibility
Artists, collectives, and arts organizations eligible for a Conseil des arts de Montreal program, with an application submitted or supported in the current year. Volet 1 is for self-identified D/deaf or disabled artists and cultural workers, and for collectives and organizations with D/deaf or disabled leadership. Volets 2 and 3 require a CAM-supported project. Applicants must be based on the island of Montreal. Teaching institutions, public and parapublic bodies, and for-profit collectives are not eligible.
