Summary
Federal SUPPLEMENT (not a standalone grant) — provides funds to cover Deaf and disability-related access costs tied to a successful Canada Council funding application. Covers sign language interpretation, disability-related service providers, note-taking, project assistants, accessible format conversion, and rental of access-related equipment and software. Available rolling, alongside any associated Canada Council application. Federal equivalent of two existing supplementary funds in this database (BC Arts Council Access Support, TAC Accessibility Grant).
Eligibility
Applicants, artistic teams, and invited participants who require Deaf and disability-related supports for activities in an associated Canada Council funding application. Funds are a supplement to an awarded grant; the associated application must be successful before Access Support is assessed. Micro-grants available for personal access needs related to non-Canada-Council activities (art fairs, conferences, workshops). Includes individual Deaf/disabled artists.
