Summary

Cost-shared grants to Nova Scotia businesses for accessibility improvements to create welcoming environments where persons with disabilities can access business and employment opportunities. Covers accessible bathrooms, parking, web design, signage, transportation, assistive devices, and universal design capacity building. Aligned with the Accessible Nova Scotia by 2030 goal. 2026-27 cycle closed February 14, 2026 (fiscal year April 1 to March 31). The funder publishes no next opening date.

Eligibility

For-profit businesses operating in Nova Scotia and registered with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stocks, including locally owned franchises, that are open to the public at reasonable rates and times. Ineligible: unregistered businesses, non-locally-owned franchises, residential rental properties, members-only businesses, non-profits and municipalities. Improvements to leased premises require at least five years remaining on the lease. Applicants may receive only one Business ACCESS-Ability approval per fiscal year.
