Summary

Supports projects that improve access to indoor physical activity and recreation for people with diverse abilities throughout the Columbia Basin Trust region. Funds accessibility improvements to existing indoor recreation facilities, adaptive equipment and training for operators in the use of adaptive equipment supported through the grant. Infrastructure work requires either property ownership, or a long-term use or lease agreement with a minimum term of five years together with a letter of support from the building owner. Projects must aim to be completed within two years of the signed Contribution Agreement.

Eligibility

Local governments, First Nations and registered non-profit societies in the Columbia Basin Trust region that own, operate, rent or lease public recreation facilities and recreational spaces providing safe, low-financial-barrier and inclusive access.
