Summary
Funds access improvements to existing indoor recreation spaces, adaptive equipment and related operator training, with an expected cumulative maximum of $100,000 and a $10,000 design cap. Up to 100% of project costs may be requested, but an applicant contribution may be required. Only approved spending after the signed Contribution Agreement qualifies, and projects must aim to finish within two years. Core operating expenses, private-land activities, unrelated upgrades and accessibility duties already required of public bodies under legislation or local plans, bylaws or policies are excluded.
Eligibility
Local governments, First Nations and registered nonprofits in the Columbia Basin Trust region owning, operating, renting or leasing public recreation spaces with safe, low-cost and inclusive access. Infrastructure applicants must own the property or have a lease or use agreement of at least five years and the owner’s support letter.
