Summary
Funds non-profit organizations to replace or upgrade existing playgrounds, or build new accessible playgrounds, that meet the City of Regina's Accessible Playground Design Standard. Only playgrounds meeting that standard are eligible, which makes this an accessibility-specific program rather than a general recreation grant. The Grant Review Committee assesses eligibility, completeness, and compliance with the Standard. The 2026 intake closed April 9, 2026 with decisions issued by May 29, 2026. Recipients submit a follow-up report within 90 days of the final playground inspection.
Eligibility
Registered non-profit organizations incorporated for at least one year, with a minimum of 40 per cent of project funding secured at the application deadline, and in good standing with the City. Playgrounds must be located in Regina and open for public use.
